Wim Van Hasselt Wim Van Hasselt is a member of the trumpet section of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam. He teaches at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and regulary gives recitals and masterclasses home and abroad (Europe, N-America and Japan).

He’s also an active chamber musician in different ensembles among which the RCO Brass. Wim Van Hasselt was born in Turnhout, Belgium. He studied at the Brussels Conservatory with Manu Mellaerts and at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe (Germany) with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich and Prof. Dr. Edward H. Tarr (baroque trumpet). During this time he was in the orchestra academy of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the State Opera Stuttgart. From 2005 until 2009 he had a trumpet postion with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin. In addition to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra he has played with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Wim Van Hasselt is a Yamaha Artist.
