Sharon St. Onge

Sharon St. Onge studied in Boston with Charles Kavalovski and at the Amsterdam Sweelink conservatorium with Adriaan van Woudenberg. She has been a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra sinds 1981.

In 1995 she was asked, with musicians from around the world, to play in the “World Orchestra for Peace” under the baton of Sir Georg Solti to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the United Nations.
Sharon has performed with ensembles from the orchestra in the chamber music series of the RCO en most recently in the Queen Elisabeth Hall in London.
She is a member of the Merlot Trio together with her husband Ron Murdock, tenor and Joost van der Meent, piano.
Sharon also helps coordinate the Academy of the RCO.
