Frits Damrow Frits Damrow joined the Royal Concertebouw Orchestra in 1991 and became principle trumpet in 1994. From 1982 to 1991 he was principle trumpet of the Radio Symfonie Orchestra in Hilversum.

Frits studied trumpet and band conducting at the Maastricht Conservatory. He also studied with James Stamp and Thomas Stevens in the United States and Pierre Thibaud in Paris. Frits is also active as soloist and teacher at many music festivals such as Musica in Santa Fiora in Italië, Instrumenta Verano in Mexico, Mannheimer Summer Academy and Sauerland Herbst. He has given master-classes en recitals at renowned institutions such as the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, the Conservatory of San Francisco, Richard Strauss Konservatorium in Munich and the Tchaikovsky Conservatorium and Gnesin Akademie in Moskou. Haske Publications has published various books by him such as; "Fitness for Brass", "Multistyle studies" and the solo books "Festive Trumpet" and "Sound the Trumpet". Frits Damrow plays exclusively on YAMAHA trumpets.
